Provide the same color palette for labels as that available for polygons.
I would like to see the color palette for labels be expanded to match that provided for polygons. Would be great to have color selection for tracks match as well.

Labels with more than 2 lines of data
I'd like to see labels that could have more than 2 lines, like Lat/Long/Elev. or even better yet 2 sets that would have lat/long/ d.m.s, and lat/long/d.d, and then elevation. And please get some different looking boxes, the ones offered now are terrible looking.

Split Imported Line Overlays
Split imported line overlays into separate sub-layers so that portions of the drawing can be shown/hidden (as opposed to showing/hiding the entire drawing overlay.)

TNP proxy awareness
Please make future versions of TNP "proxy aware". This means that any component of TNP that needs access to the TNP website would automatically try to go through the current proxy before trying to go directly to the web. This would be very helpful at larger organizations with strict firewalls that would normally block TNP from accessing the web unless it goes through the proxy. Thank you.

Parcel Grouping
We'd like to see a feature where you can group contiguous parcels and then draw a single polygon for the group as well as to pull up parcel information relative to the entire group.

I would like to open and change multiple projects at one time to create a master project
I have multiple projects scattered over a large area and its hard to remember where they all are so it would be nice to have the availability to open multiple projects then zoom in on the one you want to work on first then move to the next one.

Be able to print, edit, and save multi-sheet drawings.
Currently in TNP, to print a multi-sheet drawing, such as along a utility line, one would have to position the border template on a section of the line, take a snapshot, and then scroll to the next section. This method would not easily be reproduced, and would take considerable time when having to edit a section print.

I wish I could edit my labels from one area - like the polygon, marker, etc. area.

Increase the area/filesize of maps sent to GPS units to the maximum that the GPS can handle.
Increase the area/filesize of maps sent to GPS units to the maximum that the GPS can handle. The maximum size was decreased from version 10 to version 11 even though it was not hitting the limit of my GPS (Garmin Oregon 450).

Provide the ability to choose the line thickness of the polygon ID within the Legend on a map.
The line thickness that identifies a polygon within the map legend is too thin. This is a big problem especially when you have a lot of polygons.
The versatility to edit the map legend should be broadened in order to be more versatile.

Date of Satellite/Aerial Photos
We used to be able to access acquisition dates of aerial photos through the "information" link on the photo; that now seems to be lost in TNP 11 (and there seems to be no way to determine when the satellite photos were taken - not even the year). In my work it is important to be able to reference the date of the photo - any way to provide that information again?
8 votesThe Aerial OrthoPhoto map type retains the ability to indicate the date (year) of the photo. In fact, each year available is listed as a Map Edition.
Unfortunately, the data provider for the higher resolution Satellite Imagery does not indicate the date of that image to us. Perhaps they will add this ability to their service in the future – at which time we can consider adding it to TNP.

Add easy Internet access on/off toggle
Easy Internet Access On/Off Switch - with a default that can be set by the user. I have experienced repetitive difficulties starting this program due to poor internet access, and would like to be able to set a default start to the maps I already have stored on my computer, for instance the 1:24,000 USGS topographical maps. Then, when I find the area I am working on, I could click the easy switch (rather than a setting buried three layers deep in the menu) to allow it to load aerials, if I so choose.
2 votesWhile the existing setting is a bit buried, it does retain the preference between runs. I would like more ideas on how we can improve this. Perhaps a keystroke held down when TNP starts that would enable/disable Internet? Maybe click on the Internet “light” at the bottom?
Also, be sure that you are running the latest version of TNP. See: https://tnp.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/165863

Need a sliding intensity scale for viewing or printing merged maps.
In TNP 11.x, The current best “merged SAR view” that is not too dark (viewing or printing), and that you can still see most all the topo lines is: Select “topo”, then merged with the “Aerial Ortho Enhanced”……………..all the topo lines are still visible, and the sat view is the lightest………………………..All the other combos give a very dark image merge with most topo lines unable to really be seen.In all cases using Sartopo or Mission Manager, I find I always lighten the sat/aerial view to see the topo better, but at the same time can see the open spaces/buildings….. So…
