Do I need a cell or data connection to view the TNP Mobile Maps (SD card)?

No. When installed correctly, our GPS apps and maps work off-the-grid. No ATT, Verizon, or Sprint required. We have customers using our technology in super remote spots in Alaska, Montana, Arizona—pretty much across the whole U.S.

So how does it work? Our mobile app taps into the GPS chip located in your mobile device. Our technology uses the same GPS satellites that a traditional handheld GPS units, like a Garmin or Magellan, do. So we can pinpoint your GPS location within a 3- to 5-meter accuracy. And, since the maps are installed and stored on your mobile device, our app can access those maps without cell towers. You are free to roam anywhere.
