Version 4.05 or Terrain Navigator (std. edition) would have been published by Maptech, which went bankrupt over six years ago. MyTopo purchased the rights to produce Terrain Navigator Pro, a product that we proudly maintain today - with its current version of 10.2.

Because of the design of the map discs that Maptech implemented, it is not possible to use std. edition maps with Terrain Navigator Pro. Moreover, changes in computer architecture (such as the switch from 16 to 32 to 64 bit operating systems) makes it impossible to load older copies of the Maptech software on a modern computer. Even if it were to be installed - it would operate unreliably and be unstable.

As a service to anyone who happens to have such old software, we are proud to offer our best discount on the current version of Terrain Navigator Pro. TNP 10.2 retails for $399, and anyone with discontinued Terrain Navigator products (regardless of the publisher or age) can purchase TNP for $239 - a 40% discount. (Additional states are $199 each.)
