Layer Stacking Order in display
On any display with layers, have a "right-click" option to change stacking order, moving the selected item towards the front or rear in the display, that is, to change which item is hidden by what. Options might be to change order within a Layer type, or among all Layer types, or of Layer types as a group (now seems to be Overlays under Routes under Tracks …).

(However, that does not work for Polygons.)
True. But you can control the stacking order for polygons... right click on a Polygon and choose 'Send to Back' or 'Bring to Front'. Eventually, we will add this feature to all types of layers.

One handy modification is easy. The default stacking order within some Layer types seems to be that the most recent addition is on top. A selected item may be brought to the top of that layer type simply by Copying that selection to Clipboard (Right Click), then deleting (Del) the selection, then Paste (Tools). (However, that does not work for Polygons.)
