    Rick,

    The app will typically sync every 5 minutes. If I may ask, where would you like to see the button? Also is this on Android or iPhone?

    With the most recent release of TNP Mobile, we have removed the restriction on devices. As such, you can now use recent versions of the iPod touch and WIFI iPads in conjunction with an external GPS device. I have personally tested the Bad Elf 30 pin device and their Bluetooth device with the TNP mobile. They both perform very well and as such it is a personal preference. My suggestion is to consider the Bluetooth device it will not use the battery from your device.

    We have tested with the Bad Elf device and will include support for iPod touch and iPads (in compatibility mode) in the next release.

    We have noticed in the past that the use of external GPS on devices without GPS built in (ipod touch & ipad without 3G) can be a bit temperamental. We are actually acquiring a few of these devices to determine viability and stability with our apps. Since we have made the GPS sleeve versions work in the past, I suspect this should not be too much of an issue. Stay tuned and we will report progress back after some testing.
