I just wanted to bump this as I share the same desire. I would also like to add that multi-tier grouping would be ideal.
For instance, in regards to grouping Tracks:
-Operational Period 1
--K9 Tracks
--Ground Tracks
--ATV Tracks
-Operational Period 2
--K9 Tracks
--Ground Tracks
--ATV TracksWith of course the same request for other layers. Show/Hide is the most desired option, but of course multi-edit in general would also be a great feature.
The second y'all push a multi-edit update (with these groupings/folders), this software makes any other SAR mapping alternative obsolete.

The Selection Tool in TNP 11 was a solid step forward.
I'd like to further suggest, along the lines of this request, that the multi-selection not be limited to dragging over a geographic area. For instance, let's say I have all sorts of entities on the map and just want to hide the Tracks that I've labeled with a certain name. I want to be able to, from the Edit (Layers) menu, select multiple entities and click to Hide them.
I understand that you are still a distance from multi-editing. But if it is possible to sneak in a multi-hide feature that is not restricted to geographic selection, that would be extremely helpful on our end.

Suggestion that isn't a full fix but is better than nothing - similar to how Custom Grids can have 1 color for aerial maps and 1 color for topo maps, it would be great to have that as either (a) an option, or (b) automatic black/white for polygon text.

Have you tried templates? If this setting isn't already included as being "saved" when creating a new template, perhaps it could be done in that manner, instead of making it a standalone option.
