when editing polygon, please enable 'double-click-to-add-vertex-and-finish'
this would be a bit quicker (and easier to train / easier to get people to remember) than going to the Finish button. After v9.5.

Leaf off aerial photos.
In addition to or in place of the leaf on aerial photos, color leaf off aerials would show so much more detail. For example streams, skid trails and field edges can all be seen with leaf off photos but they hide under the canopy of the trees.

USGS Hybrid Topo/Photo "US National Map"
I want to use the new "US National Map" topos that the USGS is creating in TNP. I know your street overlay and aerial photos are just as detailed, but my agency needs the "official USGS" edition.

Radius Tool or Tower Tool
Add radio propagation model: Identify a point for a tower, its height above ground level, and how many miles it can transmit, then TNP shades the map to show you where signal can reach and where it can't. Alternatively: Locate a point, move any distance from that point, click to set your radius and then move the cursor in an arc to draw any portion of a circle from 5 degrees to 360 degrees. It would show the length in feet of the radius (i.e. length of pivot) and the acres within the circle or partial circle.

Historical Photos
Like to have access to historical photos through TNP.
13 votesYou can access some historic imagery already through the Alternate Editions of Photos. TNP 11 adds some additional years. These will continue to be expanded as time and resources allow.

TNP proxy awareness
Please make future versions of TNP "proxy aware". This means that any component of TNP that needs access to the TNP website would automatically try to go through the current proxy before trying to go directly to the web. This would be very helpful at larger organizations with strict firewalls that would normally block TNP from accessing the web unless it goes through the proxy. Thank you.

Split Imported Line Overlays
Split imported line overlays into separate sub-layers so that portions of the drawing can be shown/hidden (as opposed to showing/hiding the entire drawing overlay.)

I would like to open and change multiple projects at one time to create a master project
I have multiple projects scattered over a large area and its hard to remember where they all are so it would be nice to have the availability to open multiple projects then zoom in on the one you want to work on first then move to the next one.

Add easy Internet access on/off toggle
Easy Internet Access On/Off Switch - with a default that can be set by the user. I have experienced repetitive difficulties starting this program due to poor internet access, and would like to be able to set a default start to the maps I already have stored on my computer, for instance the 1:24,000 USGS topographical maps. Then, when I find the area I am working on, I could click the easy switch (rather than a setting buried three layers deep in the menu) to allow it to load aerials, if I so choose.
2 votesWhile the existing setting is a bit buried, it does retain the preference between runs. I would like more ideas on how we can improve this. Perhaps a keystroke held down when TNP starts that would enable/disable Internet? Maybe click on the Internet “light” at the bottom?
Also, be sure that you are running the latest version of TNP. See: https://tnp.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/165863
